Coral Discoverer

Previously the Oceanic Discoverer sailing for Coral Princess Cruises, the owners sold a majority of their shares to Kallang Capital Holdings, a Singapore-based company.

Whilst the cruise line remains Cairns-based in a “business as usual” mode, Oceanic Discoverer has been renamed Coral Discoverer, and sails alongside the Coral Expeditions I and Coral Expeditions II in the Coral Expeditions fleet.

Coral Discoverer is an expedition cruise ship operating in Australia and Oceania. With a homeport of Cairns, the 72 passenger ship is fully registered under the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) for worldwide operation. She was the first Australian flagged, owned and staffed passenger ship to attain full SOLAS compliance in over 50 years.

Coral Discoverer travels with a range of excursion tenders including inflatable zodiacs, glass bottom boat, kayaks and the ‘Xplorer’ excursion tender.
