Europa is world cruising in 5 star luxury. She’s known as the “Grand Hotel” of the high seas, has one of the highest space per passenger available ratios in the cruising world and offers superb service. The reason the Europa is probably not as well known in the English-speaking world is because it is a German ship, whose parent company, Hapag Lloyd, is probably better known for its cargo business.

Europa is a regular visitor to New Zealand, on its annual round-the-world voyage.

Europa is a very popular ship and has a very high rate of repeat passengers. As it is a German-speaking ship, Europa’s passengers are mostly from Germany although the cruise line has been making an effort to attract more English-speaking passengers from North America, Britain, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.

There are no restrictions on Hapag Lloyd passengers on taking wine purchased in port onboard.
