Emerald Princess is a Grand-class cruise ship for Princess Cruises that entered service in April 2007 offering 12-day Mediterranean and Greek Isles cruises, and continued sailing Europe for the summer of 2007. She was then repositioned in Fort Lauderdale to offer Caribbean cruises.
She is based in Australia for the 2016/17 season and will visit New Zealand for the first time in November 2016.
She is one of the largest cruise ships in the Princess fleet, offering nearly 900 balcony staterooms and features two nightclubs, a piazza-style atrium, multiple pools and hot tubs, a spa, and a gym.
Princess Cruises does not allow passengers to bring liquor onboard and even that purchased onboard the duty free shop is retained until the last day of the cruise. Wine or champagne brought onboard at embarkation or in port are however allowed in the onboard restaurants with a corkage charge of USD15 and limited to one per person.
