Astor

MS Astor joined the Cruise & Maritime Voyages’ fleet in February 2013 on a three-year charter.

She is owned by the Germany-based Premicon, a river cruising conglomerate, as the sole ocean-going vessel in the company’s fleet. The ship’s most recent refurbishment was a £14 million upgrade in 2010.

Astor is higher-end than CMV’s other two ships, Marco Polo and mv Discovery. She spends her summer catering exclusively for the German market mainly on short voyages to Northern Europe; before setting sail for Australia in November, via West Africa, South Africa and Mauritius on a 38-day voyage, before sailing back in March.Like its fleetmates, Astor is based in the Port of Tilbury, some 22 miles from Central London.
