Distance to the city
2.5 kilometres (1.6 miles) – It is a 5 minute drive or a 20 minute walk to the city centre.

When disembarking on Main Wharf South, there is an easy pedestrian access onto Wakefield Quay which is a short drive into the city.

From all other wharves, the port shuttle will be required to exit the port.

Public Bus Service
Nelson SBL Coachlines regularly operate between Nelson City-Stoke-Tahunaunui Beach-Richmond return. Limited services weekends. Contact Nelson i-SITE Visitor Centre for a time-table or at the departure point on 27 Bridge Street.

Nelson CBD itself is an easy walk between the different blocks.

Nelson Public Library, 27 Halifax Street open to Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm, Saturday 10am to 4pm and Sunday 1pm to 4pm and has free access to computers with Wi-Fi. Please note there is free daily Wi-Fi EVERY DAY from 8am to 9pm.
Nelson i-SITE , 77 Trafalgar Street (corner Trafalgar Street and Halifax Street) open 8:30 to 5pm weekdays, and 9 to 4pm weekends, and also has free Wi-Fi.
